TheraNatal
Available without a prescription, TheraNatal vitamins can help provide important nutrients and minerals for women who are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. There are a variety of TheraNatal products available. The vitamins are taken once daily, and should be taken with food to help prevent stomach upset. Side effects may include nausea, vomiting, and constipation.
TheraNatal® is a brand of vitamins specifically designed to meet the nutritional needs of women who are trying to conceive, those who are already pregnant, or women who are breastfeeding. These vitamins are available without a prescription. The TheraNatal line of vitamins includes the following products:
- TheraNatal Core Nutrition -- a combination of vitamins and minerals for women who are trying to conceive and women who are pregnant
- TheraNatal Complete -- similar to TheraNatal Core Nutrition, but with the omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and extra choline, vitamin D, and vitamin B6
- TheraNatal Lactation Support -- a combination of vitamins, minerals, and DHA for women who are breastfeeding. Contains more choline, vitamin A, and vitamin C than TheraNatal Complete, and less folic acid, iron, and vitamin D.
