PremesisRx Uses

PremesisRx uses include relieving morning sickness that many women experience during pregnancy. This prescription prenatal vitamin contains only the essential vitamins and minerals and does not contain iron and other nutrients that may contribute to morning sickness. PremesisRx does contain folic acid, which may help prevent certain birth defects. Because PremesisRx is specifically designed for pregnant women, it is not recommended for use in children, men, or elderly people.

What Is PremesisRx Used For?

PremesisRx® is a prenatal vitamin that is available only with a prescription from your healthcare provider. This particular prenatal vitamin is specifically designed to help relieve nausea and vomiting during pregnancy (otherwise known as morning sickness).

(PremesisRx is no longer being manufactured and should no longer be sold in the United States. Please consult your healthcare provider for further information.)

To many pregnant women, it seems like a cruel joke that they experience severe nausea and vomiting just when they need to be eating a well-rounded and nutritious diet. Some pregnant women are lucky and never experience any morning sickness, while others suffer from severe and debilitating nausea and vomiting (also known as hyperemesis gravidarum). As you may have already discovered, even though it is called "morning sickness," many women experience afternoon sickness, evening sickness, or even all-day sickness.

To make matters worse, women suffering from morning sickness often cannot stomach their prenatal vitamins. The typical prenatal vitamin can be irritating to the stomach, and the large size may also cause problems. PremesisRx is designed to help provide the most important vitamins and minerals, while helping to minimize morning sickness.
