Prenate Essential Prenatal Vitamins
As a type of prenatal vitamin, Prenate® Essential can help fill the nutritional gaps in a pregnant woman's diet. This prenatal vitamin is available by prescription only, and contains a number of important vitamins and minerals that can help support a healthy pregnancy. It comes as a softgel capsule and is taken once daily.
Prenate Essential is slightly different than most other prenatal vitamins because it contains folic acid and Quatrefolic®. Folic acid must be converted in the body into folate to be active and provide health benefits. Quatrefolic is the active form of folate and does not need to be broken down by the body. Prenate Essential also contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an omega-3 fatty acid that helps with development of the baby's brain and vision.
