8 Weeks Pregnant

Lesson of the Week: Understanding High-Risk Pregnancies

Women who are considered to have a high-risk pregnancy:

  • Have had multiple miscarriages
  • Are older than 35
  • Are having two or more babies
  • Have a history of pregnancy complications.

Women who are considered high-risk should make an appointment with their healthcare provider as early as possible. They should also visit the doctor more often during the course of their pregnancy than women whose risk is not as high. Good prenatal care is extremely important for the health and safe delivery of your baby, so be sure to make your prenatal appointments a top priority.
