7 Weeks Pregnant (Cont.)

Changes in Your Body at 7 Weeks Pregnant

During week seven of your pregnancy, symptoms you experience may include:

  • Constipation
  • Nausea and morning sickness
  • Vaginal discharge
  • Excess saliva
  • Expanding waistline.

Your pregnancy is not physically showing yet, and you may have lost a few pounds or gained a few pounds, which is normal at this stage in your pregnancy. When you are 7 weeks pregnant, you will develop a mucus plug, which forms in the opening of the cervical canal and seals off the uterus for protection. Eventually, you will lose this plug as your cervix dilates in preparation for labor (see Signs of Labor).
