37 Weeks Pregnant
If your baby is born when you're 37 weeks pregnant, he or she is considered mature. During week 37 of your pregnancy, your baby probably weighs about 6½ pounds and is likely developing fat at the rate of half an ounce a day. At 37 weeks pregnant, your breasts are becoming larger and fuller. By week 37 of pregnancy, you should have your bags packed for the hospital packed and ready to go.
You are 37 weeks pregnant -- 36 weeks down, 4 weeks to go! The clock is seriously ticking now! Your baby may engage this week, meaning your baby's head (or whichever part is going to come out first) drops down into the birth canal.
When you are 37 weeks pregnant, you may be feeling very anxious and ready for your baby to be born! If you are anxious or nervous about the upcoming birth, talk to your healthcare provider.
These are the times to enjoy, although you may be completely sick of people asking, "So, when are you due?" or "Wow, you look like you are really ready to have that baby!" Try not to punch them -- pregnant women are always a fascination to people -- consider it well-wishing.
When you're 37 weeks pregnant, your baby is about 14 inches from crown to rump and weighs almost 6½ pounds.
