33 Weeks Pregnant
With labor and delivery less than two months away, mothers may be considering how they will cope with pain during childbirth. Commonly used techniques for pain relief include:
- Breathing techniques, such as those taught in a Lamaze class
- Pain relief medications given through injection or IV
- Epidurals, an anesthetic administered by means of a soft, thin catheter that's placed in your lower back (similar to a spinal tap).
In order to decide which pain relief option to choose, talk with your healthcare provider and learn as much as you can about each option.
