3 Weeks Pregnant
When you are 3 weeks pregnant, you are now pregnant -- meaning that an egg has been fertilized and is implanted in your womb (uterus). You may have multiple eggs fertilized at once, or an egg may divide, resulting in twins or triplets. At this stage of pregnancy, it is vital that you get enough calcium, iron, and folic acid to prevent birth defects.
When you are 3 weeks pregnant, you do not yet know that you are actually pregnant. Here comes the waiting game! To find out if you are pregnant, you must wait 14 days from ovulation … sometimes it can be a very long 14 days. Toward the end of "week 3 of pregnancy," you may begin to experience what you believe to be normal midcycle symptoms. These symptoms, however, may also be early signs of pregnancy.
