Helpful Tips for Mom at 22 Weeks Pregnant

Leg and foot cramps and mild swelling of the ankles and feet are common during week 22 of pregnancy and after. To reduce cramping, increase your intake of calcium and potassium. Good sources of calcium include:
 
  • Milk
  • Yogurt
  • Cheese.
     
Examples of food and liquids containing potassium include:
 
  • Grapefruit
  • Oranges and orange juice
  • Bananas.
     
If you do get a leg cramp, try forcing your toes back toward your face and pushing down on your knee to straighten your leg.
