21 Weeks Pregnant
Exercise can be a great way to stay in shape during pregnancy, and can even help minimize some symptoms pregnant women often experience, such as varicose veins, excessive weight gain, and backache. However, pregnancy is not the time to start training for a triathlon. Because your joints and ligaments become more relaxed during pregnancy, you are at higher risk for injury. Low-impact or nonimpact exercises, such as yoga, swimming, and walking, are good ways to exercise. Talk to your healthcare provider before beginning any exercise program while you are pregnant.
