18 Weeks Pregnant
Throughout your pregnancy, you may feel dizzy, lightheaded, or faint. This is especially common when going from sitting or lying down to standing. These symptoms are not harmful unless they occur frequently or severely. To help minimize these symptoms, dangle your legs over the side of the bed or chair for 20 seconds before standing up.
During week 18 of pregnancy:
- You may feel your baby move
- Your abdomen may make jerky movements -- in sync -- if your baby has the hiccups.
When you're 18 weeks pregnant, your heart has to work 40 to 50 percent harder to pump the additional blood you have during pregnancy.
At week 18 of pregnancy, your uterus can be felt just below your navel.
