PreferaOB Drug Interactions

Sucralfate
The vitamin D in PreferaOB vitamins may increase the amount of sucralfate in the blood, potentially increasing the risk for sucralfate side effects. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you closely for problems if you take these medicines together.

Tetracycline Antibiotic
The minerals in PreferaOB may prevent tetracycline antibiotics from being properly absorbed into the body. This interaction is usually not a problem because tetracycline antibiotics are generally not recommended for pregnant women. However, if your healthcare provider recommends a tetracycline antibiotic, make sure to take the antibiotic at least two hours before, or six hours after, your PreferaOB dose.

Thyroid Medications
The minerals in PreferaOB may decrease the amount of thyroid medication absorbed into the body. If you are taking thyroid medicines, make sure to separate your PreferaOB and thyroid medicine doses by at least four hours.
