PreCare (Cont.)

Drug Interactions With PreCare

PreCare can potentially interact with a few other medications (see PreCare Drug Interactions).

PreCare: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking PreCare if you have:

  • Anemia
  • Any allergies, including allergies to food, dyes, or preservatives.

Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about any other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

(Click PreCare Warnings and Precautions to learn more, including information on who should not take the vitamins.)

What If I Take an Overdose of PreCare?

It is not known exactly what to expect from an overdose with PreCare. It is reasonable to assume that the side effects from taking too much of any of the active ingredients (particularly iron) in PreCare might cause problems. If you think you or someone else may have taken too much PreCare, seek immediate medical attention.

(Click PreCare Overdose for more information.)

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of PreCare?

If you forget to take your PreCare dose, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose of PreCare. If you vomit after taking a dose, do not take another dose (it is difficult to tell how much of the drug was absorbed into your body). If you regularly vomit after taking a dose, talk with your healthcare provider.
