When you leave the hospital you will be given instructions for taking care of your body after the operation and specific instructions for driving, activity level, medication, and any further restrictions necessary.
Since you have just had your baby, you will receive general postpartum instructions. Your healthcare provider will also go over any emergency symptoms that require immediate medical attention, such as fever or increasing abdominal pain.
In addition to normal postpartum body changes, you can expect to have mild tenderness, pain and even a bruise around the tubal ligation incision site.You should expect to see your doctor for a follow-up visit about 4 to 6 weeks after the procedure.
