Neevo
Neevo is a prenatal vitamin that contains nutrients essential for a healthy pregnancy. It is designed for higher-risk pregnancies, specifically for older women and women who are in the intermediate- to high-risk pregnancy categories or have a genetic inability to fully metabolize folic acid. The vitamin comes in caplet form and is generally taken once a day.

What Is Neevo?
Neevo® is a prescription prenatal vitamin that is specially designed for older pregnant women, women with high-risk pregnancies, and women with a genetic inability to fully metabolize folic acid (a "MTHRF polymorphism").

Who Makes Neevo?
Who Makes Neevo?
Neevo contains a variety of different vitamins and minerals. These nutrients are important for a healthy pregnancy, and many pregnant women may not get enough of these nutrients, for various reasons. Probably most importantly, this prenatal vitamin contains Metafolin®, a special form of folic acid. Folic acid is important to prevent certain birth defects, such as spina bifida.
The supplement also contains iron, calcium, and various other vitamins and minerals.
Because Neevo contains Metafolin (instead of just regular folic acid), it is an ideal prenatal vitamin for women who cannot fully metabolize folic acid into its active form. Because Metafolin (also known as L-methylfolate) is already in the active form, it is ready to be used by the body (with no metabolism necessary).
