NataChew Warnings and Precautions

As with all prenatal vitamins, NataChew contains folic acid, which can mask certain types of anemia. NataChew warnings and precautions also include potential drug interactions and allergic reactions. Before taking NataChew, you should tell your healthcare provider about any other medication you are taking (including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements).

NataChew: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking NataChew® if you have:
 
  • Anemia
  • Any allergies, including allergies to food, dyes, or preservatives.

Also, make sure to tell your healthcare provider about any other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
 

Specific Precautions and Warnings for NataChew

Some of the warnings and precautions to be aware of prior to taking NataChew include the following:
 
 
  • Like all prenatal vitamins, NataChew contains folic acid. Folic acid can mask certain types of anemia, which means that if you take enough folic acid, certain types of anemia may not show up on blood tests. However, this does not apply to all types of anemia. If you have anemia, check with your healthcare provider before taking NataChew.

  • Because NataChew contains iron, be sure to keep it out of the reach of children. Iron poisoning can be very dangerous, especially in young children.
    •  
  • NataChew is usually considered safe (and even beneficial) for women who are breastfeeding (see NataChew and Breastfeeding).
    •  
  • NataChew can potentially interact with a few other medications (see NataChew Drug Interactions).
