Who Should Not Use Makena?

You should not use Makena if you:

  • Have ever had breast cancer or any other hormone-sensitive cancer.
     
  • Have ever had a blood clot or pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs).
     
  • Have liver dysfunction or liver disease.
     
  • Have had cholestatic jaundice of pregnancy.
     
  • Have uncontrolled high blood pressure.
