Pregnancy Home > Prenexa Prenatal Vitamin Information

Available by prescription only, PreNexa® is a prenatal vitamin approved to provide extra nutrients for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is taken once a day. In addition to the usual vitamins and minerals found in most prenatal vitamins, PreNexa contains a stool softener and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), a nutrient that is important for eye and brain development.

It's important to review PreNexa's safety information with your healthcare provider before starting treatment. This prenatal vitamin may not be suitable for everyone, so make sure your healthcare provider is aware if you have any other medical conditions, such as a bleeding disorder, anemia, or any allergies, and if you are taking any other medications, including nonprescription drugs.
