Pregnancy Home > Expecta Lipil Prenatal Vitamins

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you may have heard of a supplement called Expecta® Lipil®. This supplement contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an omega-3 fatty acid that is important for brain and eye development. Expecta Lipil should be used in addition to (not in place of) a prenatal vitamin, as it does not contain folic acid, iron, or the usual vitamins and minerals found in prenatal vitamins.

Even though Expecta Lipil is available without a prescription, it's a good idea to check with your healthcare provider to make sure the supplement is right for your particular situation, especially if you have a bleeding disorder.
