Drug Interactions With Gesticare

Gesticare can potentially interact with a few other medications (see Gesticare Drug Interactions).

What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider Before Taking It?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking Gesticare if you have:

  • Anemia
  • Any allergies, including allergies to food, dyes, or preservatives.

Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

(Click Gesticare Warnings and Precautions to learn more, including information on who should not take the drug.)

What If I Take an Overdose?

It is not known exactly what to expect from an overdose with Gesticare. It is reasonable to assume that side effects from too much of any of the active ingredients in the vitamin (particularly iron) might cause problems. If you think you or someone else may have taken too much Gesticare, seek medical attention immediately.

(Click Gesticare Overdose for more information.)

Storing Gesticare

Gesticare should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children. This is particularly important, since Gesticare contains iron. Iron poisoning is a leading cause of poisoning deaths in children.
