You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking this medication if you have:
- Increased pressure within the eye (ocular hypertension)
- Narrow angle glaucoma
- A peptic ulcer (stomach ulcer)
- An obstruction (blockage) at the lower end of the stomach (where it opens into the intestines)
- Difficulty urinating
- Any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives.
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
What If I Take an Overdose?
An overdose with Diclegis may cause a variety of symptoms, including restlessness, dry mouth, sleepiness, and confusion. Seek immediate medical attention if you may have taken too much of this medication.
How Should Diclegis Be Stored?
Diclegis should be stored at room temperature, in a tightly closed container, and away from moisture and light. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.
What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for the next dose. In this case, simply skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
