Abnormal Scars and Laparoscopic Surgery

You may have several small scars following laparoscopic surgery for an
ectopic pregnancy. Most often, these heal without any problems. However, you might develop a noticeable scar, especially if you have a history of keloids, which are scars that increase in thickness.

If you are concerned about these issues, you will need to consult a dermatologist and your healthcare provider to discuss your specific case. The appearance of the scars, however, does not predict the results of your operation. Even people with enlarged scars can have excellent surgical results.
