C-Section Scar

You will have a scar following any
cesarean section (c-section) procedure. Most often, this scar heals without any problems. However, it is possible to develop an abnormal scar, especially if you have a history of keloids, which are scars that are thicker than normal. If you are concerned about these issues, you should consult with a dermatologist and your physician about your specific case. The appearance of the c-section scar, however, does not have anything to do with the results of your surgery. Even women with enlarged scars from a c-section can have excellent surgical results.
