Although major complications are uncommon, your overall health will play a role in your likelihood of developing complications and how well you recover from them. For example, women who have:
· Diabetes
· Heart, lung, or kidney disease
· Seizure disorders
· Sexually transmitted diseases
· Hepatitis.
have a higher chance of developing complications than those who do not. This risk for complications is also higher for women who are overweight, or use alcohol, tobacco products, or other drugs such as cocaine.
